Vonnie

Vonnie was commissioned by her husband, Peter as a surprise birthday present. I had previously painted Peter as a surprise gift from Bonnie to him!

Vonnie has a warm, bright and infectious personality that I aimed to capture in this portrait.

Vonnie loves summer holidays so that was another reason I chose warm tones in her face to reflect happy times in the sunshine.

A feature in this work is Vonnie’s gold jewellery that from different angles glimmers in the light.

This work was created with oil and acrylic paint, pencil and gold leaf.
