I had been in a ‘creative block’ for months, trying to come up with something to create that was original and not a portrait.

One day I was appreciating the insanely talented, @d_burgs photographs and some of his pieces really inspired me to start this ‘Under the Sea’ series. I would like to sincerely thank him for allowing me to use his work for inspiration.

I titled this work, ‘Group Dynamics’ as it reminds me of when you put a group of people together with different personalities and behaviours. Everyone is the same yet so different! You have the leaders, the followers and the outliers. Some people have such a deep desire to be seen and heard and to compete and to win, yet others do not share that desire and perhaps just appreciate going with the flow of life. Some people need to tightly belong, yet others are happy to not conform so much and find their own identity within themselves and outside of a group.
